The growing economies of Central and South America continue to provide successful business opportunities for glass container production technology specialist, Heye International GmbH. In recent years, the company’s dedicated sales and service experts in Mexico and Brazil have established long-term partnerships with some of the region’s leading glass packaging manufacturers.
This year, a dozen production lines throughout the region will go into operation with Heye’s advanced hot end forming equipment and cold end inspection machines. In addition, an example of the company’s technology transfer expertise can be found in Mexico. A production line overhaul and upgrade, as well as a new cold end technology have been designed and supplied to the same customer.
Elsewhere, two clients in Brazil will be equipped with three Heye production lines each, while a glassmaker in Trinidad will start a new melting furnace, three production lines and cold end equipment sourced from the company. Further orders are anticipated from Latin America as local glass packaging demand continues to grow and becomes increasingly sophisticated.
